Tiger expands its operation

Tiger Calcium has added 8 new truck units for dust control application. In 2006, Tiger's fleet of Rail cars has also increased to 155.

Tiger Calcium imports calcium chloride flake and prills from China to meet with demand in North America . Tiger is an exclusive distributor in North America for numerous calcium chloride suppliers in China .

Tiger uses Dale Keep, an expert of anti-icing/deicing from Snow and Ice Technology, to give free training seminars on pre-wetting and anti-icing technology.

Tiger Calcium has received another PNS approval for Road Guard Plus 8

RoadGuardPlus 8 is a corrosion inhibited liquid form of calcium chloride and magnesium chloride being developed especially for anti-icing and pre-wetting at extremely low temperatures down to -45°c

In addition to CorGuard TG, TC Econo has received PNS approval.

TC Econo is a corrosion inhibited liquid form of calcium chloride and sodium chloride. The active ingredients for deicing are 20% sodium chloride and 2% calcium chloride. TC Econo meets or exceeds all PNS (Pacific Northwestern Snow-fighting) specifications, including chemical analysis, corrosion rate, minor element purity requirements, toxicity tests, friction and BOD tests.

Brine plant upgrade completed

The brine processing plant at Slave Lake has been undergoing a large-scale upgrading over the past year to make it more efficient in production of brine. Tiger has designed and installed a new air cooling system to enhance salt crystallization and make phase separation a lot easier.
