Oilfield Fluids

Calcium chloride products offer a variety of uses in the oilfield industry as oilfield and well kill fluids. These oilfield fluids act as dust suppressants in mining and industrial applications, provide necessary components in drilling, and add control in shale dispersion. To meet the need for these important products, Tiger Calcium Services works to develop and supply high-quality, filtered well kill fluids throughout North America. With an experienced engineering team and state-of-the-art facility, Tiger Calcium modifies calcium chloride, sodium chloride, calcium nitrate, calcium bromide and zinc bromide to create customized oilfield fluids to meet the demands of customers. The densities of our products range from 1000kg/m3 to 2300kg/m3, making them ideal for use in the oilfield as well kill fluids.  And, with an extensive distribution network of railcars, tridems, body-jobs and wagons, Super-B’s, and Tri Axles, Tiger Calcium can respond to customer supply requests at a moment’s notice.

Application

Composition

Calcium Chloride (Brine)
CaCl 2

  • Calcium Chloride brine is used as a component of drilling, completion, and workover fluids. Used for weight and/or inhibition
  • 25% Ca/MgCl2 , 1.290 s.g.
  • 35% Ca/MgCl2 , 1.357 s.g.
  • 38% Ca/MgCl2 , 1.384 s.g.

Calcium Chloride (Solid)

  • Calcium Chloride is very soluble and capable of increasing the density of water. Providing high chloride ion concentration levels in the aqueous phase of oil muds
  • Calcium Chloride 77%
  • Flake Calcium Chloride 80% Prill
  • Calcium Chloride Mini Prill 94-95%

Calcium Chloride / Calcium Nitrate Heavy Brine

  • Heavy density brine consisting of CaCl2 and Ca(NO3 )2 for use as drilling fluids or as workover / completion fluids
  • Specific density up to 1.65 with crystallization point below -15°C

Calcium Nitrate

  • Calcium nitrate is used in drilling fluids for weight
  • Refined, granular material, high soluble

Calcium Chloride / Calcium Bromide / Zinc Bromide Heavy Brine

  • Very heavy brine comprised of calcium chloride, calcium bromide, zinc bromide and calcium nitrate
  • Density up to 2.10Kg/liter with crystallization point below -10°C

Potash
(Potassium Chloride) KCL

  • Provides potassium ions to inhibit shale swelling and dispersion
  • 2% to 6% solutions for drill-in and completion activities, also available in white crystals

Salt Brine
(Sodium Chloride)

  • Controls active shale dispersion and retards the dissolution of massive salt sections and salt stringers
  • 20% NaCl & 4% CaCl2 with specific gravity 1.20

Calcium Chloride
Tire Weight

  • Tire Weight
  • Calcium chloride with corrosion inhibitor
